fcitx-frontend-gtk2 software package provides Flexible Input Method Framework - GTK+ 2 IM Module frontend, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fcitx-frontend-gtk2
fcitx-frontend-gtk2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fcitx-frontend-gtk2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fcitx-frontend-gtk2 *
You will get with fcitx-frontend-gtk2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
